Yes. Womblers CIC is a registered Upper Tier Waste Carrier with the Environment Agency (registration CBDU581936). We also hold a Scrap Metal Dealer Licence (LN/202500790) and a T11 Exemption (EXP/CP3843JA).

Is scrap metal collection really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We collect scrap metal for free because we recycle it. Free items include washing machines, tumble dryers, cookers, dishwashers, microwaves, radiators, bicycles, lawnmowers, boilers, metal pipes, car parts, and more. The only exception is fridges and freezers, which carry a £75 charge due to specialist gas handling.

How much does a waste collection cost?

Single item collections start from £12. Bulk waste collections start from £145 for a mini load up to £875 for a full Luton van load. Scrap metal, scrap cars, and clothing collections are completely free. Handyman and renovation services are quoted based on scope.

Do you offer a veteran discount?

Yes. As a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant, we offer a 15% discount on all waste collection and handyman services to veterans, serving personnel, reservists, and their families.

What is a Waste Transfer Note?

Accepted Answer

A Waste Transfer Note (WTN) is a legal document required under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 that proves your waste was transferred to a licensed carrier. Womblers issues a WTN for every qualifying collection, included automatically at no extra charge.

How do I book a collection with Womblers?
